The sun rises, peeking through the treetops and making them glow with the colors of dawn. The man and the boy have been running all night now, pressing on without sleep to put distance between themselves and those after them. The forest has grown eerie and quiet, as if it is watching them, listening. She boy's strength is failing him. "Sir Wyce," he says, "I can't go on."
This was the first line of dialogue in the script. We're six pages in. That's the sort of inefficiency that people come to expect when one guy writes and draws his own comic passion project.
Don't worry, once the zoologist shows up we'll more than make up for the quiet in this prologue. That girl sure can gab. Stay tuned!
